Terms of use
Version of 2026-10-19
These terms cover the PureView app and this website. Akiva Ackerman, a sole proprietor trading as ASH-ai, runs both. There is no separate company behind PureView; "we" and "us" in these terms mean him. By using PureView you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
What PureView is
PureView plays YouTube videos from a list of channels picked by a group of curators. When a channel is added, its videos show up in the app without anyone watching each one first. New uploads from those channels show up the same way.
Please read this part. Curators choose channels with care, but nobody watches every video, and we can't promise that every video will suit every family. YouTube's own ads still play inside its player, and we can't remove them. Stay involved in what your children watch. If something doesn't belong, tell us at akiva@ash-ai.app and a curator can pull the video or the whole channel. Once it is pulled it won't play: the app checks that each video is still approved before playing it.
YouTube
PureView uses YouTube API Services. By using PureView you also agree to the YouTube Terms of Service. Google's handling of data from the YouTube player is covered by the Google Privacy Policy. PureView is not made, endorsed or sponsored by YouTube or Google. The videos belong to their creators.
Parents
- Children can watch without any account. Without a parent login there are no filters: a child can see every video in the app.
- Filters (the age setting and the content groups), the parent PIN, Request a channel and Send feedback need a parent login. A parent login is for adults (18 or older). You are responsible for keeping your password and your email account secure, since sign-in and reset codes go there, and for keeping the PIN to yourself.
- The filters and the PIN are kept on each device, not with us. They work only while that device is signed in. If you sign out, or the login is deleted (in the app, on our delete-login page, or by us after 24 months unused), the filters on that device turn off and a child can see every video again. The app warns you before you sign out or delete the login. Being offline does not turn them off.
- Clearing the app's data or uninstalling it also removes the filters on that device. Use your device's own parental controls as well, such as Google Family Link on Android or Screen Time on iPhone and iPad, so a child can't reach the device's settings or remove the app.
- Time limits and other controls help, but a determined child with the device's settings can get around them.
Premium subscription
- Premium is optional. A parent can buy it inside the app, behind the parent PIN, as a subscription that renews every month or every year. The price for each period is the one the App Store or Google Play shows before you confirm, in your currency.
- If a free trial is offered, it is shown before you buy, with its length (today: 7 days). When the trial ends, the subscription you picked starts and is charged, unless you cancel in time: on the App Store, at least 24 hours before the trial ends; on Google Play, before the trial ends.
- The subscription renews automatically, and the store charges your account for the next period, unless you cancel in time: on the App Store, at least 24 hours before the current period ends; on Google Play, before the renewal date. You can manage or cancel it at any time in your App Store or Google Play account settings (in the app: Parent settings, then Manage subscription). See Apple's instructions and Google's instructions. After you cancel, premium stays on until the end of the period you paid for. Uninstalling the app does not cancel the subscription.
- Apple or Google takes the payment, under its own terms; we never see your card. Refunds are handled by the store under its rules. Deleting your parent login does not cancel the subscription: cancel it in the store too, or the store keeps charging.
- Restore purchases (in the app, on the premium screen) turns premium back on for the login that bought it, for example on a new device.
- We may also switch premium on for a login by hand, free of charge, and switch it off again.
- If you got the app from the App Store, Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. Where it and these terms differ about the app itself, Apple's agreement wins.
Fair use
Don't try to break, overload or get around the app or this website, collect data from them, or use them to bother anyone. We may block requests that look automated.
Changes and availability
We can change the app, the channel list or these terms. We'll update the date at the top of this page when the terms change. The app can stop working for reasons outside our control, for example if YouTube changes its player or its rules.
No warranty
PureView is provided as it is, without any warranty. As far as the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses from using it, and our total liability is limited to the amount you paid for premium in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits any right or liability that the law does not allow to be limited.
Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of New York, USA.
